How do I connect to the Carthage Wi-Fi network (Carthage-Campus)? - NOT IN RES HALLS

Answer

Carthage-Campus is the College's Wi-Fi network for on-campus employees and students (with a current Carthage username). For the 2025-2026 school year, this Wi-Fi network is accessible in the following buildings: Clausen, CSU, Hedberg, JAC, Lentz, Straz, and TARC.

In the Residence Halls, students will use the Carthage-Secure network and will log in with their Carthage username and password. Guest access in the Res Halls will be via Carthage-OpenStudents with technology that doesn't use browsers (e.g., gaming consoles, smart TVs, etc.) will use Carthage-Open.

  • To get YOUR unique passcode, go to https://www.carthage.edu/campus-wifi.
  • Sign in with your OneLogin account.
  • Look for your 8-digit passcode.
  • Take an image of the passcode because you will use this same passphrase on every device that you want to connect to the Carthage-Campus Wi-Fi network.
  • When you subsequently connect to Carthage-Campus, you will be asked for a passcode. If you already received a passcode, enter it there.

PLEASE NOTE

  • The passcode is unique to you; don't share it.
  • The passcode works on ALL of your devices. Use the same one on your computer, phone, etc.
  • Each passcode lasts for 2 years.
  • If you forget it, go back to the same website again (https://www.carthage.edu/campus-wifi). The code will be available to see there or emailed to you.
  • Your passcode will be emailed to your Carthage email address the first time you connect to the website, so you can also find it in your Gmail.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR STUDENTS:

  • Residence Halls still use Carthage-Secure and Carthage-Open until Fall 2026.
  • Students will need to connect to both the old and new networks if they are in the res halls. Their devices will automatically switch networks as users move across campus.
