How do I connect to the Carthage-Open network on a laptop?

Answer

  1. Make sure your Wi-Fi is on.
  2. Two SSIDs are available on campus: Carthage-Open and Carthage-Secure. Choose “Carthage-Open.”
  3. Once connected, you will be prompted to register your machine before you have access to the network. If your machine does not automatically take you to the captive portal, simply open a web browser and you will be automatically directed to the captive portal.
  4. Click on "Username/password login."

5. Click "I accept the terms."

6. Enter your Carthage username and password (do not include @carthage.edu). If your Carthage credentials are not allowing access, you may need to visit the OneLogin portal to reset your password.

7. Wait while your registration completes  Your access to the Carthage network will be enabled for 365 days.

 

NOTE: Please use Carthage-Secure whenever possible rather than Carthage-Open.
