Google Gemini is available for faculty and staff, providing enterprise AI features with data privacy protections.
Why use Gemini instead of other AI tools?
- Data Privacy Guaranteed: Your chats, prompts, and inputs remain strictly internal to Carthage—Google does not use your data to train its models.
- Workspace Integration: Gemini connects securely with your Carthage Gmail, Drive, and Docs to help you search, summarize, draft, and analyze your information faster.
How faculty can get started
Gemini access for faculty is tied to a quick 12-minute training module that shows you how to connect Gemini to your Google account. To enable your access:
- Log in to Workday and search for Gemini@Carthage; at the top of your search results, you can click All Categories and scroll down to Learning
- Complete the short training video
Your access will be activated by one of our staff within 2 business days of completing the training.
How staff can get started
A general rollout of Gemini to staff will occur in Fall 2026; details will be made available to department supervisors.
