Is my textbook on Course Reserve?
Answer
Course Reserves at Hedberg Library allow faculty to place a copy of a text used for class on reserve for all students to use. The books are kept behind the Circulation Desk at the Library and need to be requested by users at that desk. Most course reserves are listed under a specific faculty's name. If you would like to see if your textbook is on course reserve, please see the instructions below:
1. Navigate to the Hedberg Library catalog: https://carthage.on.worldcat.org/discovery
2. Click "Course Reserves" at the top banner.
3. You may search for an instructor's name or a course name (only faculty or courses that have items on reserve will show up).
4. Browse the list of courses. When you find your course, click on the link and you will see a list of the items on reserve for that class, if the item is checked out, and the amount of time you can keep the book.
If you are an instructor and would like to put items on course reserve, you may do that by submitting the form here: https://www.carthage.edu/academics/library/borrowing-access/course-reserves/ or by emailing help@carthage.edu.
