How do I change my alternate email address in Workday (when I CAN'T access OneLogin)?

Answer

If the email address you have set up in OneLogin for your 2-factor authentication needs to be changed and you CANNOT access OneLogin, please follow the instructions below:

Contact the Hedberg Library Helpdesk: You will need to contact the library the so we can provide you with a one-time-use (OTP) code to access both OneLogin and Workday.

[FOR HELPDESK STAFF: Search for the user in the OneLogin admin > Authentication > Multi-factor Methods > Temporary Token > Generate. The OTP should be set as "reusable" with a timeframe of 1 day.]

Once the helpdesk provides you with the temporary code, please log in to Workday. You will be able to change your alternate email address here.

1. Log into OneLogin with the temp code.

2. Click on the Workday icon in the portal.

3. Once in Workday, click the Menu Stack icon (hamburger icon) and select "Personal Information."

4. Under "View" select "Email Addresses."

5. At the top of the window, click the "Edit" button and choose "Update Home Contact Information."

6. Scroll down to the Email section and click the Edit Pencil icon to edit your email address or the "Add" button to add a new address.

7. MAKE SURE TO CLICK THE "SUBMIT" BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORKDAY WINDOW.

The email field is updated in the Carthage systems every two hours, so you still will need to access OneLogin with the temporary code for the next couple hours after changing your email address in Workday.

Once you have logged in to OneLogin, you may update your 2-factor authorization method if you need to, by following the instructions here: https://carthage.libanswers.com/faq/352401
