For Helpdesk: How do I create/edit LibAnswers FAQs?
Answer
Library and Information Services uses LibAnswers as our FAQ platform. To be able to create and edit FAQs, a system admin needs to create an account for you and provide access. Once that access has been granted, you may access and use the system following the instructions below.
To Log In
- Go to https://carthage.libanswers.com.
- Scroll way down to the very bottom of the page and click on the tiny link that says "Login to LibApps."
- Enter your email address and the password you set up from the email that you were send from the system (there is no SSO option).
Finding the FAQ Creation
- Log in to LibAnswers.
- Make sure the blue button in the top, left corner says "LibAnswers."
- Click the "Answers" menu in the top toolbar and click "Create" to make a new FAQ.
4.The next screen defaults to "Tickets." Make sure to click on the "FAQ" tab instead.
5. Enter the question in the box (the answer goes on another screen).
6. Click "Save Question and Continue."
7. On the next screen, enter the answer in the box.
8. Add keywords in the box at the right to make the article easier to find.
9. Click "Save Answer Text."
10. Click "Preview" if you want to see how the FAQ looks to the user.
11. Under "Status" at the bottom of the page, "Change Status" to "Published" and Save again.
