Choosing the OneLogin Protect App for Initial 2-Factor Authentication

Faculty, staff, and students may use the OneLogin Protect app on their cell phones to have a push notification sent to the app when logging in to OneLogin.

  1. Download the OneLogin Protect app at your app store.
  2. When you choose OneLogin Protect at your 2FA method, you will be prompted to “Activate” the app. Click the “Activate” button.
  3. On your mobile device, open the OneLogin Protect app.
  4. At the top right, tap the “+” icon.
  5. Place the OneLogin QR code presented on your web browser into the square on the camera of your mobile device. It should automatically activate, and your web browser will redirect you back to the “Security Factors” webpage in OneLogin.

Make sure your phone allows push notifications.

  2. Tap "Notifications."
  3. Scroll down to choose "Protect."

  4. Choose "Show alerting and silent notifications."
