How to Use CopyLeaks to create an Assignment in Schoology

For Faculty: Create a CopyLeaks Assignment and check the plagiarism report for assignment submissions.

1. Login to Schoology.  Using the Add Materials button, select CopyLeaks Assignment. 

2. Fill in the assignment details.

3. A CopyLeaks Assignment will be created.

4. When a student submits a document (e.g. paper,) you can see it below the Assignment Description and Attached Files. Click on the SCAN button to run the assignment through CopyLeaks and receive a plagiarism score.

5. A Plagiarism score will be displayed. The screenshot below shows a 1% Plagiarism score. 

6. Click on the score to open the plagiarism report.

For Students: How to check your plagiarism score, improving your assignment and submitting it again. 

Students can upload their document and wait for the plagiarism score to pop-up. If they are not satisfied with the score, they can delete the document instead of submitting it. They can then revise the document, re-upload, check the score, and submit it. 

1. Upload your document into the CopyLeaks Assignment.

2. You can upload multiple documents and view the plagiarism score. You can also delete the documents when you do not need them. The screenshot below shows a 1% Plagiarism score. 

3. Click on the score to open the plagiarism report.

4. Delete your assignment if you need to improve it. 
5. Upload your improved assignment.
