How do I access ScreenPal?

Answer

ScreenPal is a program that allows users to record, edit, and share video with others. To utilize the software, go to OneLogin.

  • Under “Carthage: All Apps” click on the icon for ScreenPal.
  • Click “Log in” in the upper right. Log in via your Carthage Gmail account.

NAKE A RECORDING

  • Click the "Make a recording" button in the middle of the screen. A software download will begin if this is your first time using the resource.
  • After the download is complete, the recorder will open in a new window.
  • Choose whether you want to record just your screen, just your camera, or both. When you are ready to record, press the red "Rec" button.

  • Record your video. There will be a blue "Pause" button in the lower left. Use that when you are done.
  • You will then have the option to Preview your recording (pushing the "Play" button), delete the recording (the "Trash" button) or accept the video (choose the "Done" button).
  • When you are done, choose to "Save/Upload" the video or "Edit the Video."

  • When you "Save/Upload" the video, you will have the options where to save. We recommend choosing "Save as Video File" so you will have more control over what you want to do with the file.

  • From the next Video File menu, make any file edits you need (at least choose which Folder to which you'd like to save the file).
  • Choose "Publish" when you are ready.

NOTE for MAC USERS

  • Mac users must go into Preferences and Security > Privacy > allow ScreenPal to record the screen.

UPLOAD TO SCHOOLOGY

  • If uploading the file to Schoology, the file must be under 500MB. Go to "Add Materials" > "Add File" > "Upload." Schoology will need a few minutes to process the video.
