For Helpdesk Staff: How do I add attachments to an existing Request Tracker (RT) ticket?

Answer

  1. Log in to Request Tracker at help.carthage.edu using your Carthage username and password.
  2. Bring up the ticket you're interested in (you may be able to search for it by typing the RT ticket number in the search box at the upper right).
  3. Under the "Actions" menu on the upper right, choose “Comment.”
  4. Type in comments if you want to.
  5. Near the middle of the screen, click the “Choose File” button to the right of the “Attach:” field.
  6. Navigate to find the document you want to attach. Click “Open.”
  7. If you need to add more attachments, use the “Add more files” button.
  8. When finished, scroll down and click the “Update Ticket” button.
