Connecting Your Laptop over HDMI

  1. Tap the touch screen to wake it up.
  2. Tap the Power Control button.
  3. If you're going to use the projector, tap the On button below Projector Power. If you're going to use the TVs, tap the On button below TV Power.
  4. Boot up your laptop COMPLETELY before connecting the HDMI cable from the equipment rack. Then plug in the cable.
  5. Send the image to the projector:
    • To send the image to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the Laptop button under Projector Video Source.
    • To send the image to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the Laptop button under TV Video Source.
    • On Windows computers, press your "Windows key" and your "P" key at the same time. Select Duplicate to send the image to the projector or TVs.
    • On a Mac, navigate to Apple menu ()System PreferencesDisplaysArrangement tab → check Mirror Displays.
  6. Send sound to the classroom speakers:
    • On Windows computers: Control PanelSoundPlayback tab → right-click the Extron device → select the Set as Default Device from the right-click menu.
    • On a Mac, navigate to Apple menu ()System PreferencesSoundOutput tab → select the output named Extron type HDMI.
  7. Volume is controlled through the Audio Control tab on the touch screen.
    • Tap the Listen to Projector button if you're sending your laptop video to the projector.
    • Tap the Listen to TV button if you're sending your laptop video to the TVs.
    • Tap the 🔈+ to turn volume up, 🔈- to turn the volume down, & 🔇 to mute/unmute audio.
  8. When you're done with the projector or TVs, please turn them off. Tap the Power Control button → tap the Shut Down System button → tap YES.

Connecting Your Laptop over VGA

  1. Tap the touch screen to wake it up.
  2. Tap the Power Control button.
  3. If you're going to use the projector, tap the On button below Projector Power. If you're going to use the TVs, tap the On button below TV Power.
  4. Boot up your laptop COMPLETELY before connecting the VGA cable from the equipment rack. Then plug in the cable.
  5. Send the image to the projector or TVs:
    • To send the image to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the Laptop button under Projector Video Source.
    • To send the image to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the Laptop button under TV Video Source.
    • On Windows computers, press your "Windows key" and your "P" key at the same time. Select Duplicate to send the image to the projector or TVs.
    • On a Mac, navigate to Apple menu ()System PreferencesDisplaysArrangement tab → check Mirror Displays.

Using the Instructor Station PC

  1. Turn on the instructor station PC. It's a small form factor PC inside the equipment rack, in the space to the left of the electronic equipment.
  2. Make sure the monitors coming out of the equipment rack on articulating mounts are turned on. The left monitor is PC Main, the right monitor is PC Secondary.
  3. Tap the touch screen to wake it up.
  4. Tap the Power Control button.
  5. If you're going to use the projector, tap the On button below Projector Power. If you're going to use the TVs, tap the On button below TV Power.
  6. Send the PC Main or PC Secondary to the projector:
    • To send one/both to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the PC Main or PC Secondary button under Projector Video Source.
    • To send one/both to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the PC Main or PC Secondary button under TV Video Source.
  7. Volume is controlled through the Audio Control tab on the touch screen.
    • Tap the Listen to Projector button if you're sending PC Main to the projector.
    • Tap the Listen to TV button if you're PC Main to the TVs.
    • Tap the 🔈+ to turn volume up, 🔈- to turn the volume down, & 🔇 to mute/unmute audio.
  8. When you're done with the projector or TVs, please turn them off. Tap the Power Control button → tap the Shut Down System button → tap YES.

Using the Blu-ray Player

  1. Tap the touch screen to wake it up.
  2. Tap the Power Control button.
  3. If you're going to use the projector, tap the On button below Projector Power. If you're going to use the TVs, tap the On button below TV Power.
  4. Send the image to the projector or TVs:
    • To send the image to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the Bluray button under Projector Video Source.
    • To send the image to the projector, tap Video Control button → tap the Bluray button under TV Video Source.
  5. Tap the Bluray Control button on the touch screen → tap the Eject button to open the tray & insert your Bluray (or other) disk.
  6. Tap the Eject button to close the disk tray. Do not force the disk tray shut manually!
  7. Control Bluray playback using the controls on the Bluray Control page.
  8. Volume is controlled through the Audio Control tab on the touch screen.
    • Tap the Listen to Projector button if you're sending your Bluray video to the projector.
    • Tap the Listen to TV button if you're sending your Bluray video to the TVs.
    • Tap the 🔈+ to turn volume up, 🔈- to turn the volume down, & 🔇 to mute/unmute audio.
  9. When you're done with the projector or TVs, please turn them off. Tap the Power Control button → tap the Shut Down System button → tap YES.

Leaving the projector & TVs running for extended periods while they're not in use significantly shortens their life. To turn off the projector & TVs, tap the Power Control button → tap the Shut Down System button → tap YES.
