How can I set up OneLogin Protect as my two-factor authentication?

Answer

1. Go to https://carthage.onelogin.com and log in with your Carthage username and password. If you don't have a two-factor authentication method set up in OneLogin, you will be prompted to set one up. Choose OneLogin Protect as your authentication method. Your screen will then prompt you to download and install the OneLogin Protect app.

2. On your mobile device, download the "OneLogin Protect" app from the App Store or Google Play Store and install it.

3. Open the app. If the app asks you to allow notifications, make sure to allow it. Your app will not work without enabling notifications.

4. On your computer screen, click "Activate." Your browser will display a QR code.

5. On your mobile device, open the OneLogin Protect app.

6. At the top right, tap the "+" icon.

7. Allow camera access, if prompted.

8. Place the OneLogin QR code presented on your web browser into the square on the camera on your phone.

9. The app should automatically activate, and your computer browser will redirect you back to the "Security Factors" webpage in OneLogin with the new authentication application present.

10. If you have more than one security factor set up, click on the three dots next to the OneLogin Protect application and select "Set as Primary."

Make sure your phone allows push notifications.

For iPhone:

  1. Open the "Settings" app.
  2. Tap "Notifications."
  3. Scroll down to choose "Protect."
  4. Make sure the slider is set to green for "Allow Notifications."

For Android:

  1. Open the "Settings" app.
  2. tap "Apps & notifications > Notifications."
  3. Under "Lock screen," tap "Notifications on lock screen."
  4. Choose "Show alerting and silent notifications."
