How do I find the MAC address (physical Ethernet address) of a computer, mobile device, or gaming console?
Answer
A MAC address is a unique physical address assigned to each network adapter in a computer or mobile device. The MAC address is used at Carthage to enable devices to be used on the network (registered on the network).
This guide is for registering computers, game consoles, and mobile devices on the Carthage campus network.
NOTE: The Ethernet address is often called a MAC address - it is not related to Macintosh.
